Our 2024 volunteer team consists of 70 committed individuals working across all departments to support the Zomi community. This year marks an important transition period with a stronger focus on health recovery initiatives, educational advancement, and community rebuilding.
The 2024 team has demonstrated exceptional resilience and creativity, adapting our programs to address evolving community needs. Their combined expertise spans healthcare, education, social services, and cultural preservation, ensuring holistic support for families and individuals.

Guiding and coordinating our volunteer efforts
Volunteer Coordinator
Overseeing all volunteer programs, recruitment, training, and coordination across departments. Sarah brings 8 years of experience in volunteer management and community organization.
Training Manager
Developing and implementing training programs for volunteers across all departments. David has revamped our training curriculum to address new community challenges and opportunities.
Volunteer Support
Providing ongoing support, mentorship, and resources to volunteers. Grace focuses on volunteer wellbeing, retention, and building a sustainable volunteer community through peer support.

The social services team has created a comprehensive resource directory connecting community members with housing, food, legal, and employment resources. They've established partnerships with 25 local organizations to expand available services.

On December 9, 2024, we held our annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration to honor the contributions of all our volunteers. The event included cultural performances, testimonials from community members, and interactive displays showcasing the impact of each department.
The celebration highlighted both individual achievements and team efforts, recognizing the collaborative spirit that has defined our volunteer program throughout 2024.
